Acid Trip Double Splits
We did another double split fountain last week. It took until late Wednesday evening to get it on press but it printed beautifully. The project printed very nicely on 80 lb Classic Linen Text, kindly donated by Tom Wright from Neenah Paper Company. The linen is a nice hard surface to work with and the ink looks great on it, the overprints seem almost three-dimensional.
Andy Cruz from House Industries designed this one and he threw some fun things at us. Full overprints of the 4 colors used in the job, including a gold metallic and this time, just for fun, he did a full solid in the background with a double split fountain going from PMS 806 Fluorescent Pink to 389 Lime Green and back again.
The piece is an invitation to the AIGA Members Blast Party (which will be a hoot by the way):

Our pressman Marty has perfected the art of these split fountains and I love what we get out of them, he is the one that thought it looked like an acid trip, hmmm.... There are some pictures above for you too!
